About Us

Jaime and Sarah realized their overlapping love of not only the Hawkeyes, but of creating events back in 2016. While it took a while, they eventually got together to create Crafty Custom Events & Design to spread their creativity and offer their services to those who don’t love the chaos of event planning as much as they do. 

With their creativity, eye for design and many connections, Jaime and Sarah knew they had the ability to bring people and events together. From b ’mitzvahs to outdoor markets to major public events, their work has touched thousands.

Sarah specializes in creating lasting memories from memorable gatherings. A creative at heart, Sarah has an art degree in University of Iowa and has more than a decade experience in marketing and graphic design. Events have challenges which she approaches through a “creative lens” to ultimately create a memorable gathering.  

Jaime is highly experienced in helping cultivate ideas through an open, collaborative process. With her studies at Iowa in communication and journalism, she seeks to discover every client's story and executive their vision. As a successful realtor she has helped thousands of clients through the stress of home buying or selling, and she applies this considerate approach to her event work.

Jaime and Sarah are equally comfortable providing client guidance and consultation or being on-the-ground, sleeves-rolled-up to ensure an event goes off without a hitch. Either way, their flexibility, expertise, and ability to inspire others will ensure your event or design services will provide a lasting impression for all.
